We were on our way home from Texas and the Lord put a great compassion on Barb for pastors and their wives. They were hurting and discouraged and there was no place for them to go and no one to encourage them and lift them up, especially ministers of smaller churches. |
Bob
I was saved in 1979 and was a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship in the early and mid 1980s and saw God work in mighty ways.
I have been self-employed almost my entire life. I was the founder and President of Bob’s Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning for nearly 30 years. Recently, my daughter Kimberly has taken over as president of the business.
In the last few years, God has burned in my heart a compassion for pastors and ministers of the Gospel. We wanted to create an atmosphere where they could feel free to relax and be encouraged by each other.

I was saved thirty-two years ago. Twenty-five years ago I went to work for a pastor and his wife and worked for them for 8 years in their Christian school. I watched them spend many hours with their congregation in counseling and even physically helping people! She held down a full-time job to help cover their expenses. They went through stress and heartache, but no one knew it.
Five years ago, on the way home from Texas, the Lord burdened my heart for pastors. I wanted to have a place where hurting, broken pastors could go and be built up. Heit’s Point was the perfect location. It is a beautiful setting with walking trails, a swimming pool, fishing, and boating.
Four years ago we had our first meeting with pastors attending from Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. The worship was intense and the teaching was informative. Pastors were ministered to and loved on. Six intercessors prayed for them every day for six months prior to the meeting.
The second meeting was held 2 years later with the same goal as the one before. There was teaching on being in ministry and putting your family first above the church and through several of the pastors ministering to each other. It was a time of healing and building of relationships.
This one we are expecting God to meet each pastor and empower them for the work ahead, for them to be totally surrendered to Him, and the glory of the Lord to fill the room.
